Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., spoke to supporters in Iowa on Monday, Feb. 3, as results of the state’s presidential caucuses were coming in. “Today marks the beginning of the end for Donald Trump,” Sanders said, calling the president “corrupt” and a “pathological liar” who is trying to divide Americans on race, religion and gender. Sanders said he would win the election thanks to Americans who are tired of wealth inequality and want more support for social services such as health care. He vowed to pass a Medicare-for-all health program, as well as to make colleges and universities tuition-free. The Vermont senator also promised to deliver major changes to the U.S. immigration and criminal justice systems, as well as American reliance on fossil fuels. Sanders said his supporters were “the strongest grassroots movement” the country has ever seen.
