Thai shooter who killed at least 21, shot dead

A gunman who went on a shooting rampage at a shopping mall in Thailand has been shot dead.

At least 21 people were killed and 31 wounded before Thai security forces closed-in on the attacker.

A Defence Minister spokesman said the soldier attacked his commanding officer before he stole a gun and ammunition from a military camp and reportedly opened fired on a number of locations in Korat- 250 kilometres north east of Bangkok – including a Buddhist Temple and a shopping centre.
