A stabbing attack at a hotel in Glasgow has left a number of people injured and a police officer in a critical condition.
The male suspect was shot dead by armed police at the scene of the incident at the city’s Park Inn hotel.
Six people including two teenagers and a 42-year-old officer are being treated for injuries in hospital.
The police officer’s condition is said to be critical but stable.
Scotland’s first minister Nicola Sturgeon described the incident as “truly dreadful” but said it was not being treated as terrorism-related.
