Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced a nationwide review will be held into the hotel quarantine debacle which led to a deadly outbreak of coronavirus in Victoria.
“We also agreed today that they would be a nationwide review of hotel quarantine,” he said.
“That will be undertaken by the former Health Secretary Jane Halton, she currently sits on the COVID commission. As part of that group. She will be undertaking that review working with states and territories.”
Mr Morrison also said every state would begin charging returning residents for the cost of quarantine as political leaders attempt to minimise the economic fallout of restrictions.
