Californians divided over ‘climate change’ link to record-breaking wildfires

Published on September 9, 2020 by

Californians welcomed a wave of cooler weather over the Labor Day weekend following weeks of intense heat and bushfires.

Locals are divided on the cause of the extreme temperatures with some attributing it to human induced “climate change”, while others claimed only “natural processes” were at work.

While California’s record-breaking heat was not identified as the cause of 2020’s wildfires, it does make them more difficult to control with more land burnt this fire season than ever before.

The heat and smoke resulting in poor air quality has triggered respiratory issues for a number of people living in the region.
