13 may: Julian Assange: Swedish prosecutors reopen rape case

Published on May 13, 2019 by

Swedish prosecutors have reopened their investigation into a rape allegation against the WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and will seek his extradition from Britain.
Swedish authorities halted the investigation in 2017 when Assange took refuge at the Ecuadorian embassy in London. But with the United States also keen to extradite him, it is going to be up to the British government to decide where he goes next.
Al Jazeera’s Paul Brennan reports from London.
