Swedish police shot and injured a man at Malmo’s central station on Monday.

The man was reportedly shot by officers after exhibiting what police official Per-Olof Soyseth described as ‘threatening behaviour’ and claiming he was carrying firearms and explosive devices.

The injured man was taken to hospital, and the bags that he allegedly carried were searched by a police bomb squad.

The station was evacuated and trains were temporarily suspended in the wake of the incident.
