10 July: Tory leadership debate: Hunt and Johnson clash over Brexit

In Britain, Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt, the two remaining contenders to replace Theresa May as Conservative Party leader and prime minister, have faced off in a televised Tory leadership debate. Their big clash came on their approach to Brexit. Former Foreign Minister Boris Johnson is expected to win the ballot of Tory party members. If he does, he’ll have just over three months to take Britain out of the European Union, whether it be with or without a deal with the EU. But Brexit has been a topic for the Labour Party too, whose leader Jeremy Corbyn, is now pushing for a second referendum.
