Two protesters were reportedly shot dead during clashes between demonstrators and security services on Wednesday, as unrest continues in Baghdad. Protesters threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at police officers, who fired tear gas and rubber bullets.
In Najaf, protesters set the Iranian consulate on fire as they were reportedly outraged by the influence Iran has on the country’s affairs.
Some protesters in Baghdad were seen singing, dancing and playing football among clashes and unrest. Others were seen playing a ‘trust game’ amongst each other wherein a blindfolded protester was thrown in the air and caught by a bed sheet held by fellow protesters.
